Rainin Special Pipettes - Negative Displacement

Micropipettes, which we use as standard, transfer the liquids to the pipette tip by negative displacement. In other words, when we press the upper part of the micropipette and pull our finger, they draw air into it and draw the desired microliter to the pipette tip with negative pressure.

However, special pipettes that work with the positive displacement principle should be used in very fluid, very viscous or very easily evaporating liquids and aggressive solvents such as acids. In such liquids, the desired accuracy and sensitivity values cannot be obtained from normal micropipettes, and aggressive solvents cause deformations that will shorten the service life of standard micropipettes.
